Neighborhood Spotlight: Tucson’s Village Green

Last Updated on August 24, 2021 by Kim Labriola

About Village Green

Among Tucson’s east side neighborhoods is a small and surprisingly affordable community called Village Green. Village Green is considered a townhome community, however many of the homes are not attached and resemble single family homes.

The east side Tucson neighborhood was built between the 1970s to the early 1980s and is located near 22nd Street & Old Spanish Trail. Most homes are 2-3 bedrooms with 1 or 2 car carports. The neighborhood association monthly dues are used to re-paint the exterior of each home every 5 years and for maintenance of the common areas, pool, etc.

Rural feeling and close to the city

Although the city has crept closer and closer to the community, it still seems surprisingly rural, due to the many natural desert common areas throughout. Its not uncommon to see javalina, Harris’ hawks, roadrunners, and the occasional bobcat here.
