Living near the streetcar line is ideal for many people including University of Arizona students, staff, and faculty, as well as employees at University Medical Center, Caterpillar, and anyone who works Downtown.

The streetcar runs 7 days a week. Weekday hours are 7am to 2 am. Weekend hours are 8am to 2am. At peak times it’s only 10 minutes between streetcars, and it’s easily trackable at each stop or with an smartphone app.

Each streetcar will hold up to 180 people at one time and is ADA compliant.  

The route is about 4 miles long, with about 100,000 people living within a half mile from the line. Transfers to the SunTran bus system are available as well.

There are 4 different segments of the Tucson Streetcar route:

  • West of Downtown Tucson / Mercado District
  • Downtown area – Tucson Convention Center / Congress Street / Broadway Boulevard
  • 4th Avenue / Main Gate Square
  • University of Arizona / University Medical Center
