Location
Tucson Country Club is located near Tanque Verde Road, just west of Sabino Canyon Road. Heading north on Camino Principal will take you to a manned gate for the neighborhood.
The neighborhood is bordered by both the Pantano Wash and the Tanque Verde Creek. The eastern edge of the neighborhood abuts Indian Ridge Estates, a historic district showcasing Tucson’s hippest midcentury modern homes.
Because of it’s location next to the Pantano Wash, the neighborhood is next to the Chuck Huckleberry Loop, a 130 mile long multi-use path which is popular for bicyclists, walkers, and joggers.
There are also a lot of nice restaurants within a short drive and some even within walking distance. It’s also a short drive to Costco.

A brief history of TCC
Charles H. Boyles owned the 1,300-acre ranch in 1935. He rented the ranch to the first Mormon community in Tucson who used it as a truck farm and dairy. In 1935 Boyles sold 580 acres to Lenore Moore for $12,000. Her Brother built two ranch houses named Rancho de la Sombre. Unfortunately, the project failed.
In 1945 the property changed hands again, this time to Carl and Marie Reininger. In 1946 fifty prominent Tucsonans were disappointed with the El Rio Golf Course on Tucson’s west side and decided to create a golf resort that took advantage of the beautiful East side location. They formed a for profit corporation called Country Club Estates Inc.
Public Schools
The neighborhood is within the Tucson Unified School District and is serviced by Fruchthendler Elementary, Booth-Fickett Math/Science Magnet School, and Sabino High School.
